Researcher from Uttarpara found dead in Paris

Kolkata: A researcher from Uttarpara in Hooghly has died mysteriously in Paris on Sunday. The 37-year-old researcher Snigdhadeep Dey, had been staying in Paris for the past four years.
It was on Sunday, when the owner of the house in Paris where he used stay as a tenant, found him lying unconscious on the floor of his room. The door of the room was locked from the inside and the body was brought out after breaking open the door. His family members in Uttarpara were later informed that Snighdhadeep had passed away.
Snighdhadeep's wife, however, claimed that there is some mystery behind his death as he was seen online on a social networking site even a few minutes before the possible time of his death.
But the researcher's family in Uttarpara is in complete dark, regarding the exact reason behind the death of Snighdhadeep.
After completing graduation from Maulana Azad College, he had gone to Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR). After spending a few years there, Snighdhadeep had moved to Portugal, where he worked as a researcher.
Four years ago, he started staying in Paris. He had also taken his wife to Paris. But she had to return to Uttarpara a few months ago, as she was pregnant.
It was on Saturday when Snighdhadeep had spoken for the last time with his family members. He was also scheduled to return home in the next few months. His family members said that he was restless to return home to get a glimpse of his two-month-old daughter.
His family members could hardly believe that Snighdhadeep is no more when they received a phone call on Sunday from the landlord of the house, where he used to stay as a tenant.
All steps are being taken to bring the body of Snighdhadeep to Uttarpara from Paris.
