Push for reforms in veterinary hospitals

Kolkata: West Bengal Veterinary Alumni Association (WBVAA), the organisation comprising officers of the Animal Resources Development department submitted a 13-point agenda to the director of the department placing their various demands.

WBVAA submitted a memorandum urging the director, AB Banerjee, to fulfill their demands. It was alleged that vaccines are not properly delivered to the veterinary hospitals in the districts.

The organisation also alleged that it is often found that the vaccines in lesser quantities which are delivered to the hospitals are of inferior quality.

The officers of the

WBVAA claimed that the director of the department admitted that their demands were legitimate and assured them that the matter would be considered. The organization has also been conducting relentless campaign for infrastructural reforms in various veterinary hospitals in the districts.
