Portico collapses at Peace Heaven

Kolkata: A portion of the portico collapsed on Sunday night at Peace Heaven on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. No one was hurt in the incident. A car parked under the portico got damaged.

On Sunday, around 7 pm, the portion of the portico measuring about 20 ft wide and 30 ft long suddenly collapsed. It was established that the structure came down because the pillars that were holding the portico shattered.

After getting the information, police personnel from Park Street police station reached the spot. Disaster Management Group (DMG) was also informed. As the body preservation process was suspended for almost a month due to some problem, no one was there at the time of collapse.
