Police bust sleaze racket in Hyderabad, 2 actresses among five arrested

Kolkata: A sleaze racket was busted in a five star hotel in Hyderabad in which five persons including a cinema actress, a designer and a TV serial actress were arrested for their alleged involvement in it.

Sources said that a team comprising officers of Hyderabad North Zone Task Force conducted a raid in hotel Taj Deccan acting on a tip off and arrested five of them that include two who earlier had some connections with Tollywood.

The manager of the hotel has also been arrested and police seized Rs 55,000 cash and a cell phone during the raid. It is learnt that police had a tip-off about the high profile sleaze racket that had been going on in the hotel and were keeping a close watch.

It is learnt that the arrested actresses were in Mumbai before flying to

Hyderabad and the police conducted the raid when they came to know about their involvement.

The manager of the hotel is being interrogated to find out for how many days such an activity was going on.

Sources said that police had received information that the kingpin of the racket is Janardhan, alias, Jani.

Police have interrogated the arrested persons to get further information about Jani who is still at large.

He was running the entire racket and he often visits different parts of the country to spread his network.

So, police are considering that the arrest of Jani would be a

major breakthrough for them as it would help them to get hold of other people involved in it.

Police have taken steps so that Jani cannot flee out of the state. Security at all the entry and exit points of the city has been strengthened to ensure that he cannot escape.
