PC Mittal Group signs MoU with govt

The PC Mittal Group signed a MoU with the West Bengal Tourism Department whereby they will be constructing a resort on a 6-acre of land in the Gajoldoba Mega Eco-Tourism Hub named 'Bhorer Alo' by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The project had run into trouble with the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Eastern Zone Bench, directing the state government to obtain necessary environmental clearances before proceeding further with the project.

"An Impact Assessment Report by the Jadavpur University which will be placed before the Tribunal on April 28," stated Tourism Minister Gautam Deb. The 208-acre project, 25 km from Siliguri is to be developed in a Public Private Partnership mode. Prior to this, three companies have already invested.
