There were certain demands from a section of nursing staff at various hospitals regarding the dress code. After going through their demands, the state Health department has sent the proposal for state government's clearance.
It is now up to the government whether the nurses will get a new dress. It was learnt that the proposal has already reached the state secretariat at Nabanna.
According to sources, there may be some changes in the colour of their dresses. At present, the nurses wear white sarees. A section of nurses raised a demand that they are more comfortable in Salwar Kameez. They also said it is sometime difficult to manage the cap that they wear.
