Police found the revellers often treat the beach like a racing track, and drove the car in highest sped. Shivraj Naskar, Suraj Dasgupta and Vaibhav Shandilya, all of them 21 and former students of Calcutta International School, had apparently driven all night to reach Mandarmani before the incident happened.

It will also be recalled that a youth was killed when he attempted a para-gliding at the beach in 2015.

Tarun Ghosh was on a holiday tour at Mandarmani, with his family when an unfortunate incident occurred.

Ghosh, an adventure enthusiast, in an attempt to make his trip memorable, enrolled his name for parasailing with a company.

As soon as the parachute went into the air, it came too close to an electric pillar due to the heavy tides.

The parachute further went off track due to heavy rains and wind.
