Narada case: Suvendu visits CBI office

Kolkata: State Transport minister Suvendu Adhikari went to the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday.
He was being summoned in connection with the Narada sting operation.
Adhikari assured all cooperation to the officers of the CBI to probe into the incident.
It is learnt that the CBI officers recorded his statement. They also went through the documents that were being submitted by Adhikari. The CBI officers urged him to tell whatever he knew about the episode of the Narada sting operation.
The investigating officers have recorded the statement of the Transport minister to verify the claims that were made by the former CEO of Narada News Mathew Samuel who was interrogated for long hours earlier in this connection. Sources said that the CBI is going to complete preparing its preliminary report in connection with the probe of the sting operation soon after the Pujas. So the investigating officers are trying to complete the process of recording statements of all political leaders, an IPS officer and others whose names had come up in this connection. The CBI has already recorded statements of most of the leaders whose names cropped up in this connection.
