Narada case: Mukul Roy questioned by CBI, Suvendu Adhikari by ED

Kolkata: Statements of MP Mukul Roy and state Transport minister Suvendu Adhikari were recorded by central investigating agencies in connection with Narada sting operation on Monday.
Roy on Monday went to the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and his statement has been recorded. He was in the office of the CBI for around six hours.
Sources said that the CBI officers have verified the statement given by the former CEO of Narada News Mathew Samuel.
He told the investigating officers that he was not found taking money in the video footages of the sting operation.
Adhikari, on the other hand, went to the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday morning. He was in the office of the ED for around two-and-a-half hours. Sources said that he submitted certain documents as directed by the ED officers.
Both Roy and Adhikari assured full co-operation to the investigating agencies during the probe.
It may be recalled that statements of some of the political leaders whose names had cropped up in the sting operation and former SP of Burdwan SMH Mirza were also being taken either by the CBI or ED.
