Narada case: Madan Mitra visits CBI office

Kolkata: Former transport minister Madan Mitra on Wednesday visited the CBI office after he had been summoned by the Central investigating agency in connection with the Narada scam.
He went to the Nizam Palace at around 11.50 am.
He was served notice by the CBI on Tuesday where he was asked to appear before the investigators before Friday.
A day after he got the notice, he turned up at the CBI office on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that Mitra was found taking money as caught on the Narada CCTV footages.
The investigators asked Mitra about the incident and they recorded his statement.
It may be mentioned that the investigators will investigate to find the person who had introduced Mathew Samuels to Mitra.
The Central investigating agency may again interrogate Mitra after the verification of his statements.
It has been learnt that the CBI is trying to end the primary investigation before the Pujas.
They have already interrogated some of the prominent Trinamool Congress leaders in this connection so far.
