Narada case: CBI summons Saugata Roy on August 31

Kolkata: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned MP Saugata Roy in connection with Narada News sting operation. Sources said that he has been asked to turn up at the office of the central investigating agency on August 31 in Nizam Palace. It may be mentioned that he was once summoned earlier but he had failed to turn up for his prescheduled programme.
The investigating agency has also summoned Mayor Sovan Chatterjee in the similar connection. He has been requested to meet the CBI officers on Wednesday, sources said. The investigating officers want to verify the statement given by Narada News CEO in this connection. Chatterjee was earlier summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in this connection. ED had also summoned Ratna Chatterjee, wife of Mayor Sovan Chatterjee, in connection with the probe of Narada Sting operation and she has been asked to turn up at the office of the ED at Salt Lake on September 4. It is learnt that the Income Tax department has also served a notice to her.
