Nabanna officials assure support to air hostess

Kolkata: An air hostess working with a private airline went to the state secretariat, Nabanna, in connection with the complaint against the owner of her rented house, who had allegedly molested her.

She had earlier lodged complaint with Bidhannagar North Police station and also met Commissioner of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Gyanwant Singh in this connection.

She went to the state secretariat and submitted a letter to the police. She has been assured by concerned officials that they would look into the matter and necessary steps would be taken as and when required.

It may be mentioned that the air hostess had lodged a complaint on the day of Saptami alleging that the owner of the house had molested her and her parents were beaten up by him and his wife.

The accused even asked the woman that why she was late in returning from work and subsequently harassed her.
