Mrinal Mukhopadhyay passes away at 74

Kolkata: Noted actor Mrinal Mukhopadhyay died in a private nursing home on Tuesday.

He was 74-years-old and is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters. His elder daughter is well known singer Jojo.

Mukhopadhyay had acted in different roles in several feature films. He had acted in some television serials as well and was equally proficient in drama and yatra.

For quite some time, the veteran actor had been suffering from cancer. He was taken to hospital after his condition deteriorated on Monday. He breathed his last on Tuesday afternoon.
