Money taken as donation for election: Prasun

Kolkata: Prasun Banerjee, MP from Howrah, went to the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday and spoke to the officers of the investigating agency in connection with the Narada sting case.
Banerjee went to the CBI office at around 11 am. After coming out of the office, Banerjee said: "I have said what they asked me. It is important to co-operate with the investigating agency. It is not that they had asked any particular question. They asked me to narrate what had actually happened." When asked whether he was asked to provide documents, Banerjee said: "I deposited the money in the bank and provided all documents related to it including the passbook. The money was taken as donation for election purpose." Stating that he will be extending all co-operation for the probe, he further added: "It is of course a mental pressure as such issues are pointing fingers at a footballer who has received Arjuna Award."
