Miscreants snatch Rs 1.5L, phone and bike from bizman

Kolkata: Miscreants snatched Rs 1.5 lakh from a businessman on gun point at Monoshatala road of Uluberia in Howrah in broad daylight on Sunday.
According to the police, the businessman, Kuntal Sahu, a resident of Talpukur area of Belghoria in North 24 Parganas was returning home on his motorcycle. When he was crossing the Monoshatala area, a desolate place, three unidentified miscreants came on a motorcycle and blocked him.
The miscreants got down from the motorcycle and started thrashing him. One of them suddenly took out a gun and aimed it at the victim.
They asked him to hand over the bag which he was carrying.
It was learnt that one of the miscreants hit him on his head with the butt of the pistol and threatened to kill him if he did not hand the bag over.
The victim had no other choice but to hand over the bag full of money to the miscreants.
The miscreants also looted the victim's mobile phone, motorcycle and the helmet. After carrying out the operation within a few minutes, the miscreants fled the spot along the victim's motorcycle. Some of the local residents who came to know about the incident later, called up the police station and narrated the entire incident. Police reached the spot and started an investigation.
Police interrogated the victim to know if he had any business rivalry which could have led to the incident.
The investigators suspect that the miscreants knew that the businessman would be passing through the area with cash. The victim told the police that miscreants had their faces covered.
