Minor reshuffle in West Bengal IAS cadre

Kolkata: In a minor IAS reshuffle, Smrutiranjan Mohanty who was currently posted as the Officer on Special Duty, Mass Education Extension and Library Services department has been transferred to the post of Sub-Divisional Officer Haldia in East Midnapore replacing Kuhuk Bhushan.

Bhushan will take up charge as Joint Secretary of Panchayats and Rural department. D P Karanam, currently posted as Joint Secretary of Finance Department, has been given additional charge of Managing Director of Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation. It may be mentioned here that Karanam had been appointed as joint secretary, Finance Department on Wednesday prior to which he had been joint secretary of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles (MSME&T). In Wednesday's development, P Mohangandhi who was earlier posted as Registrar of Co-operative Societies had been transferred as MD, West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (WBSIDCL) and ex-officio Additional Secretary, MSME&T department. During the earlier reshuffle, P A Siddiqui who was then posted as Director of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance (PF & GI) with additional charge of Director of Treasuries and Accounts and Secretary in Finance Department has been made Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture department.
