Minor fire at residence of Aroop Biswas

Kolkata: A minor fire broke out in the residence of the state Youth Services and Sports minister, Aroop Biswas, at New Alipore in South Kolkata on Wednesday morning.

It was around 9.50 am when the minister was in the house itself when the fire broke out from a cooking

gas cylinder. Three fire tenders were pressed into service. The fire fighters rushed to the spot soon after receiving the information and brought the situation under control before it could have spread further.
