Metro Rly set to introduce new time-table

Kolkata: Metro Railway is going to introduce a new time-table from July 1. According to Metro authorities, the number of services will be increased in the new system.

On Thursday, Metro authorities informed that from July 1, Metro services will be provided from 6:45 am to 9:55 pm on weekdays. The same duration will be there on Saturdays as well. On Sunday, services will commence from 9 am instead of the present time of 9:50 am.

Metro authorities also claimed that at present there are 284 services including Up and Down runs between Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash stations and the number will remain the same. But the number of services between Dum Dum and Noapara will be increased to 107 services from 104. On Saturdays, there will be 236 services instead of 224 between Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash stations. Seven services will be increased for Dum Dum to Noapara on Saturdays.

On Sundays, there will be 124 services instead of 110, commencing from 9 am between Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash stations. Nine more services will provided for the Noapara-bound passengers from Dum Dum on Sundays.

During weekdays, the last Metro for Noapara will depart from Kavi Subhas at 9:25 pm instead of 8:50 pm, while on weekends, the last Metro for Noapara will leave Kavi Subhas at 9:29 pm.
