Members of relief team meet with accident, 4 die

Darjeeling: Members of an organisation while returning after distributing relief material in Darjeeling met with an accident leaving four dead and many others injured. On the 97th day of the bandh, members of the Sai Samity, Darjeeling had gone to Dhotoreah Forest Village, around 45 km from Darjeeling to distribute relief mainly food. On the way back, when the vehicle was nearing Maneybhanjyang, it lost control and skid 300 feet from the road. Three persons died on the spot. A lady died enroute to the hospital. Six persons were rushed to the Darjeeling Hospital. Out of the six, two are critically injured and have been referred to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital near Siliguri.
