Mathew Samuel resigns as editor-in-chief of Narada News

Kolkata: Mathew Samuel, managing director and editor-in-chief of Narada News, has resigned from the board of Narada India Media Private Limited.
The Chief Administrative Officer Angel Tincy Abraham has also tendered her resignation.
It has been informed to all staff of the Narada News stating that "the resignations have been accepted whereby both have been allowed to step down. Also the two former directors have been relieved of all the duties and positions in the company".
It may be mentioned that this comes at a time when the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing the Narada News sting operation case in which names of several political leaders from Bengal has cropped up.
Both were requested "to collect no dues certificate from the company after handing over all intellectual properties of the company including published and unpublished sting operations and provide all accesses and related credentials" immediately.
It is also learnt that the CBI officers are also considering the development quite seriously and suspecting that this "could be a move to avoid them in reaching to a fruitful conclusion in the investigation".
It may be mentioned that the controversy had sparked off over the funding of the sting operation which the central investigation is probing.
Though they have resigned from the board of the Narada India Media Private Limited, it is learnt that the Dubai unit is still operational.
