Man held for misbehaving with crew members on flight, hitting child
Kolkata: A man was arrested in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport police station for allegedly misbehaving with crew members and hitting a child late on Tuesday night. The man was coming from Doha to Kolkata.
According to sources, on Tuesday night, a youth, identified as Satyajit Ghosh, consumed four drinks and he wanted another one. But seeing his condition, crew members denied to serve him another drink. Ghosh allegedly used abusive language against the crew members. Despite he was requested to sit quietly on his seat, Ghosh continued misbehaving with the crew members. Meanwhile, a few of the passengers protested but Ghosh did not bothered to listen them. Having no other way, crew members informed the captain of the flight, identified as Alexandre Fabiano Rodrigues. He immediately got in touch with the Air Traffic Control and informed about the situation onboard.
While misbehaving with the crew members, Ghosh accidentally hit a child. The child was from USA. As Ghosh didn't stop misbehaving, he was separated from other passengers and forced to sit alone. Around 1:55 am on Tuesday night the flight landed in Kolkata and Ghosh was brought out of the flight. It is alleged that while he was being brought to the lounge by crew members he allegedly pushed them. Later, Ghosh was handed over to NSCBI Airport police station and Rodrigues lodged a complaint against him.
Meanwhile, NSCBI Airport authority called a doctor to examine the child who was accidentally hit by Ghosh. After examining her, doctor found no medical issues. As her parents refused to lodge any complaint they were allowed to leave the airport.
