Mamata to inaugurate industrial meet in Darjeeling
Darjeeling: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to inaugurate a two-day industrial meet in Darjeeling on Tuesday.
The inaugural ceremony will be continue till 2 pm and various sessions will be held on the second day from 11 am to 3 pm in presence of Banerjee and state finance minister Amit Mitra.
The meeting is aimed at the promotion of industries and development of Darjeeling as an industrial hub.
The hilly region will witness such a meeting for the first time.
The government officials have confirmed that Darjeeling has immense potential to develop itself in the eco-friendly areas of IT, tourism, horticulture, food processing, agro industries, medicinal plants and education.
