Mamata congratulates Sonia on Cong victory in Rajasthan, says BJP's fall is inevitable in 2019

Kolkata: Stating BJP's defeat in Rajasthan as the beginning of the party's downfall, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee said that their defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election is unavoidable if there is a one-to-one fight.
Giving a major blow to BJP, Congress has won in all the three seats in the bypolls in Rajasthan. Congress has secured victories in Alwar and Ajmer Parliamentary seats and Mandalgarh Assembly by defeating BJP.
When asked about BJP's defeat in Rajasthan, the Chief Minister said: "The downfall of BJP has started." This comes at the time when Trinamool Congress has won in both Uluberia and Noapara by-elections.
Banerjee has dedicated the win to the people and said that it is their love which inspires her to keep working for further development of the state. She also thanked the people of Noapara and Uluberia, besides expressing her gratitude towards everyone in the country, who are working for democracy and development.
The former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has congratulated the Trinamool Congress supremo for the party's victory in the bypolls.
Banerjee said: "Soniaji has congratulated us for our win in the Bengal election and I congratulated her for the victory in Rajasthan."
While speaking about the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Banerjee said: "I still feel that all powers should stand together against them (BJP) for a one-to-one fight and if it happens, there is no chance of BJP to win in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections."
It may be mentioned that firebrand Patidar leader Hardik Patel is also going to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on February 9 to strengthen their fight against the Narendra Modi government.
Banerjee had called up Patel after the election results of Gujarat came out and had invited him to come to Bengal. Patel will be meeting the Chief Minister in Nabanna.
