Labourer found dead in Delhi's Karol Bagh

Kolkata: A youth from Howrah's Domjur died under mysterious circumstances in Delhi's Karol Bagh area.
Thakurdas Majihi, the victim, in his 30's was associated with jewellery work in Delhi. The body of the youth was found hanging from his rented room last Saturday.
The family received information about his death on Tuesday after the victim's brother went to Delhi and identified the body. The family of the deceased had alleged that Majhi has been murdered. "The body was found hanging from the window and his feet touched the ground. I feel that he has been murdered," the victim's mother said.
She further informed that she had last spoken to her son on Friday on three occasions. "He had told me that he would be sending Rs 10,000 on Monday and also informed me that he would soon receive another Rs 70,000 from a person to whom he had lent money earlier. However, he did not mention the name," the victim's mother said.
It may be mentioned that primary investigations by the Karol Bagh police has hinted towards suicide.
In this month itself there have been reports of mysterious deaths of employees from Bengal who had gone to work in some other state.
A labourer from Bengal, Mohammad Afrazul who used to work in Rajasthan was recently murdered while another worker from the state, Madhu Sarkar, suffered the same fate in Gujarat on December 22.
22-year-Sarkar, a resident of North Point, Alipurduar, was allegedly found murdered. The incident took place in Taranpur under Ankleshwar police station in Gujarat's Bharuch district. He used to work in a timber mill there.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had expressed her concern over the death of Afrazul and announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakh for his family and a job to one of the family members.
