KP constable falls to death from building

Kolkata: A constable of the Kolkata Police died after falling from the terrace of a four-storeyed building off BT Road in North 24-Parganas on Sunday morning.
Police said the 50-year-old constable Durga Prasad Mishra was originally a resident of Raghupur village at Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. He was posted with the Special Branch (Watch Section) and he was with the New Market police station.
The victim used to stay in the barrack of the second battalion. According to police, he somehow fell off the terrace of the four storeyed building. People went to the spot hearing the thud sound and found he was lying on the floor with severe injuries.
He was admitted to a private hospital at Ekbalpore where he succumbed to his injuries. His family members were informed. The police are trying to find out that how he fell off the terrace.
