Kolkata: Kolkata Society for Empowerment of the differently-abled (KSEDA) organised a joyride on the occasion of Hellen Keller Day.
Differently-abled children took part in the joyride in a tram which was beautifully decorated with flowers and balloons. The state power minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay inaugurated the joy ride at Tollygunge Tram depot on Sunday. The ride ended at Esplanade. All the participants were enthusiastic about the programme.
KSEDA has been rendering services to the visually impaired. The project was started in 2005 with three children. More teachers have been employed as the number of students have been increasing at KSEDA. Presently, there are 72 children and young adults
enrolled under KSEDA.
