Jyotipriya blames Dilip, Mukul over murder of 4 TMC workers

Kolkata: Jyotipriya Mallick, Trinamool Congress president of North 24-Parganas district, lodged a complaint with the police against BJP state president Dilip Ghosh and leader Mukul Roy, alleging that they are behind the murder of four active workers of his party.
In the letter addressed to the North 24-Parganas district SP, Mallick has stated that four active leaders of his party were killed to ensure Trinamool does not perform well in the forthcoming Panchayat polls. Mallick has also informed the police that the party's workers were also attacked in other parts of the district as well.
He stated that Saifar Rahman of Sasan, Sariful Haque of Amdanga, Ajit Debnath of Gopalnagar and Amirul Mallick, who was the booth president of Swarupnagar, were all killed in the past few weeks. Saifar, Sariful and Ajit were shot, while Amirul was stabbed to death.
Stating that all the four were very popular and active workers in their respective areas, Mallick has mentioned in the complaint letter that they were active campaigners for the party's candidates in the Panchayat elections. He stated that they were killed with the motive of hindering campaign of Trinamool Congress candidates.
He stated in the letter: "the victims' family members believe that all four were killed by BJP backed goons, with the support of CPI(M) workers. They also believe that Mukul Roy and Dilip Ghosh are also behind the murder of their family members."
The Trinamool district president has urged the superintendent of police of the district to take necessary legal action against the two BJP leaders.
