Jadavpur man dies of suspected dengue

Kolkata: A person died of suspected dengue at a private hospital on EM Bypass on Thursday morning. The victim 60-year-old Shib Shankar Jha is a resident of Vidyasagar Colony at Jadavpur in south Kolkata.
The victim's family members alleged that the hospital authorities had initially claimed that the person had died of cardiac arrest but later when they handed over the death certificate it mentioned that Jha died of dengue.
The person was suffering from a pain in his chest accompanied by fever on Wednesday He was initially taken to a private medical college hospital at Jadavpur where the doctors advised that the patient needs to be put on ventilator.
However, the facilities of ventilation was full at the hospital so they advised the patient to be transferred to another place. His family members admitted him at a private hospital near the Kasba connector where he died in the wee hours on Thursday.
