IT dept to set up registry of firms working on AI

Kolkata: The state Information and Technology department is preparing a registry on the firms working on artificial intelligence (AI), as suggested by a committee set up by the department.

The department is inviting self-registration by the firms working in the field of AI and startups. The registration will be free of cost.

The registry will help the department keep a track of the firms that work in the field of healthcare, public transport, sustainable development and agriculture. Once it's prepared, the department will be able to use the information and engage the firms for the benefit of the sector they are working for.
