IT dept bats for digital marketing as career option in districts

Kolkata: The state Information Technology (IT) department is working on making digital marketing a career option in the districts of Bengal as they feel the area will have enormous job potential in days to come.

Business and commerce are heading towards digital marketing or publicity tools and techniques as they provide business owners the best chances for competition, survival and even business growth. So, this could be an area in which small groups particularly the youth could work on.

The State IT department is preparing a concept note on how the state may make digital marketing a career option in the districts of Bengal.

It may be mentioned that Webel, on behalf of the State, has been conducting introductory workshops on Start-Ups throughout their 100 plus district units.

The IT department has already fixed the calendar in this regard for the next quarter. Three workshops that are already lined up are: a workshop on Cyber Security on March 16, a workshop on Blockchain on April 13 and another on Artificial Intelligence on May 18.
