Interactive online platform ahead of BGBS

Corporation upgrades website ahead of mega event to facilitate quicker access by entrepreneurs to facilities.

Kolkata: The Small and Medium Scale Enterprises are going to be one of the focus areas in the forthcoming Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS). And to facilitate an easier way to acquire a No Objection certificate for financial support, the state Small Industries Development Corporation is going to introduce an interactive online platform.
According to an official of the West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation (WBSIDC), BGBS is a major platform to promote the facilities available for entrepreneurs in Bengal. So the target is to bring the interactive online platform by upgrading the existing website of the Corporation ahead of the BGBS that is going to be held on January 16 and 17 in 2018.
At present, an entrepreneur can access the website to get all sorts of information needed about the industrial parks in the state under the Corporation and other related aspects.
But with the relaunching of the website, there will be an online platform through which entrepreneurs can avail various services instead of sending letters to the corporation or by visiting its office that are so time consuming.
The official said once the "dynamic and interactive website" is launched, entrepreneurs will neither have to send letters nor visit the office instead for various services and it includes crucial tasks like issuing of No Objection Certificates that entrepreneurs need to apply for loans from banks. No Objection Certificate of the corporation is also essential for entrepreneurs if they want to change name of their companies or character of the company or if there is a need to induct other directors. Such tasks will be done within a very short time which will be of immense benefit to the entrepreneurs.
In a bid to make entrepreneurs more aware of such facilities and about the profiling of the industrial parks, the Corporation will be publishing a booklet which will contain all data related to the industrial parks. At present, there are a total of 40 industrial parks and estates under WBSIDC on 697 acres of land and it includes three upcoming ones at Khasjungle in West Midnapore, Dabgram in Jalpaiguri and Malda Silk Park.
It may mentioned that the Corporation has already introduced the online process of allotting lands to entrepreneurs for micro, small and medium scale industries and master plans of all the industrial parks have been made available online through GIS mapping.
