IAS reshuffle: Karanam made joint secy (Finance)

Kolkata: In a reshuffle in the senior IAS cadres, D P Karanam who was currently posted as joint secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles (MSME&T), has been appointed as joint secretary, Finance Department. P Mohangandhi who was posted as Registrar of Co-operative Societies has been transferred to the post of MD, West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (WBSIDCL) and ex-officio Additional Secretary, MSME&T Department.

In another development, P A Siddiqui who was currently posted as Director of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance (PF & GI) with additional charge of Director of Treasuries and Accounts and Secretary in Finance Department received a new posting as Secretary Food Processing Industries and Horticulture department.

Kartika Sharma who was presently posted as OCW, P&AR Department, has been made the Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department.

It may be mentioned here that few days ago, another reshuffle occurred in which several senior IAS officers received new postings.

Among them was Atri Bhattacharya who was posted as Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department then was later transferred to the state Consumer Affairs department. Nandini Chakraborty, who was posted as Principal Secretary of Food Processing Industries and Horticulture, got a new posting as Principal Secretary, Tourism.
