I feel extremely insecure: Mayor on wife's behaviour

Kolkata: Mayor Sovan Chatterjee lodged a complaint with Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar claiming that the officer-in-charge of Parnasree police station is allegedly threatening his security men and is taking side of his wife Ratna Chatterjee.
Chatterjee, who also happens to be the minister for Fire & Emergency Services, Environment and Housing, in his complaint letter to Kumar on Thursday alleged that some private security personnel, whom he had appointed to guard his assets and documents at his ancestral property in Parnasree have been threatened by Ratna Chatterjee in connivance with the local police officials. "I am feeling extremely insecure because of the reign of terror unleashed by Ratna Chatterjee in connivance with a section of police personnel," Chatterjee has stated in his complaint letter. He urged that the city police chief to interfere and take steps in this regard. It may be mentioned that the Mayor in his earlier complaints with Parnasree police station had stated that her wife's friend Jhuma Saha had entered his residence with mala fide intention and had threatened Mayor's assistant when he tried to prevent her from entering. In both the cases, it was his wife Ratna who instigated her friend to act in this manner, as per complaint by the Mayor. In November last year, Chatterjee, had moved a divorce petition against his wife, Ratna, at Alipore Court Kolkata alleging that he was mentally harassed by her. The husband wife duo is living separately for the last few months while the divorce petition is pending.
