IT entrepreneurs.

According to sources in STPI, this will come up on a land of 5-acre and will take more than two years to get completed.

It may be mentioned that STPI presently operates five centres in the state — Kolkata, Durgapur, Haldia, Kharagpur and Siliguri.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) service major Sify Technologies CEO Kamal Nath also announced that its 50,000 sq ft data centre at Rajarhat will be inaugurated by February next year.

According to Nath, the key aspects of a successful data centre is to have a combination of mindset, skill set and tool set.

"We have chosen the city for the data centre as we have seen Bengal government has a strong mindset. There are a lot of educational institutes in the state from where we are hopeful of building up the skill set. We have the tool set and so the combination will serve our purpose,"

Nath added.
