HIDCO to organise day-long festival at Eco Urban Village on November 18

Kolkata: West Bengal Housing & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) will organise a day-long programme at Eco Urban Village on Saturday, November 18 as part of its celebration of Children's Day.
Children's Day falls on Tuesday but the celebration has been pushed back to the weekend to ensure that
more and more children can come and be a part of the celebration. "The place will be decked up in the best possible way to give it the form of a Children's Festival.
"There will be songs, dance and other interesting games for the children. We have a mother's group in New Town who will conduct the programme and make all arrangements to ensure that children enjoy to the hilt," a senior HIDCO official said. The entries for the
children will be free and there will be free bus facilities to nearby locations. A double decker bus will also be pressed into service. "We have already launched the replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World at Eco Park eyeing the Children's Day," the official said.
Last year, an NGO brought in underprivileged children from two locations including one in Salt Lake for a day's outing at Eco Park. A duo cycling activity was also launched.
