Hasin Jahan meets Mamata at Assembly

Kolkata: Estranged wife of Indian pacer Mohammad Shami, Hasin Jahan, met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in her office in the state Assembly on Friday.

Hasin had lodged a complaint against her husband, raising various allegations, starting from sexual assault to poisoning.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, she had approached officials for a meeting with the Chief Minister and finally on Friday, she met her and sought help in connection with the ongoing trouble with her husband.

Hasin later told media persons that she was thankful to the Chief Minister for giving her time to speak out her plight and said that she has assured of looking into the matter.

It may be recalled that it was on March 9, that Hasin had lodged the complaint against Shami with Jadavpur police station and it was the day after when she went to the city police's headquarters at Lalbazar and met the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Praveen Tripathi.
