Haldia power plant wins ICC Environment Excellence Award

KOLKATA: The 600 MW Haldia Energy power plant is this year's winner of the prestigious ICC Environment Excellence Award. At the Environment Partnership Summit in Kolkata on Wednesday, the award was presented to HEL Managing Director Rabi Chowdhury. The Runner-Up in the category was ITC Limited, Munger Plant (India Tobacco Division).
This is the 11th year of the ICC Award programme, the initiative being supported by the Department of Environment, Govt of West Bengal and West Bengal Pollution Control Board.
Companies in the Large Business Organisation seg-ment applied from all over the country.
