The incident caused a chaos with the vendors staging demonstration at the railway station.
The Railway authorities have, however, claimed that these stalls were set up illegally on the platforms and were creating inconvenience to passengers, obstructing their paths. Railways have also claimed that they had served a prior notice to these stall owners for removal but they did not take any steps in this regard.
However, the agitating vendors have claimed that they set up the stalls following proper norms and also pay money to the Railways for their stalls. They also demanded that they must be allowed to run their stalls on the railway platforms.
