Governor complains of chest pain

Kolkata: Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi was taken to a private hospital in South Kolkata on Friday morning after he complained of chest pain.

He was, however, shifted to SSKM Hospital later where the doctors examined him thoroughly. Several tests including ECG and ECO were also conducted. He was later released from the hospital as there was nothing serious in the reports. The doctors suspect that he might have felt the chest pain following some irregularities in his food habit.

According to hospital sources, as there was no serious ailment, the doctors in the cardiology department of the hospital decided to release Tripathi. A senior official of the hospital said he was released only after his condition was stable.

It may be mentioned that the Governor suffers from hypertension, diabetes and coronary artery disease. In May last year, he was admitted to a private hospital after he bled from an outgrowth in the nose and a surgery was conducted on him.
