Girl kills self after husband circulates her personal photos on social networking site

Kolkata: A third year English Honours student from Nadia committed suicide after a youth, whom she had married secretly, posted some of her pictures on a social networking site after she had left her in-laws' house following torture. The girl's body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her parental house in Nadia. The family members of the girl alleged that Sanjay Saha, a local youth residing at Poraghat area of Nadia forced her to marry him in April this year. Despite the objections raised by her family members, the girl secretly married Sanjay and started living at her on-laws house. It was alleged that her husband and in-laws started torturing her after marriage. The girl finally left her in-laws' house and started living at her parental house. They also said that Sanjay had several attempts to patch up but the girl refused. Sanjay then circulated some of her marriage pictures in a social networking site by creating a new profile. The girl became so frustrated after the incident that she took such a drastic step.
