Girl beaten up for seeking permission to go to toilet

Kolkata: A Class III student from the Airport English High School was badly beaten up by a school teacher when the girl repeatedly sought permission from the teacher to go to the toilet.

Without listening to the child the accused teacher Indrani Roy started beating her up.

She was pushed to the ground. Later, the accused picked up the injured victim and dragged her to the toilet.

The victim also received injuries while being dragged to the toilet by the teacher.

It was learnt the teacher did not allow the student to go to the toilet in the middle of the class. As the child had insisted kept insisting, she lost her cool and thrashed the girl.

The victim finally told the teacher that she could not write any further.

The irate teacher dragged the girl from and slapped and punched her.

The girl even sought apology from the teacher by touching her feet but it hardly had any impact on the teacher.

The incident took place on August 28, following which the victim's family members informed the matter to the school authorities. They alleged that the school authorities did not take any action against the accused teacher. The girl received injuries on his hand and legs.

The family members of the victim said that the girl is so traumatised that she does not want to go to the school.

She is under medication. The family members also alleged that the accused teacher had a past record of the abusing children.

The school authorities have claimed that they asked the accused teacher not to attend classes and the managing committee of the school is carrying out a probe into the incident.
