Get rid of Modi just as he did high-value notes: CM
Raniganj/Asansol: Coming down heavily on Narendra Modi, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee urged people to scrap him just as he had scrapped high-value notes during demonetisation.
"Remember those days when you were forced to face hardships following the note ban. People got up from the bed early morning and found high-value notes had been banned. Modi said it would bring down terrorist activities but in reality, they have gone up. Just as he had scrapped the high-value notes, you scrap him off in the election by casting your votes against him," she said while addressing two rallies at Raniganj and Asansol on Friday afternoon.
Banerjee said: "Modi has ruined the country economically. People have lost jobs. 12,000 farmers have committed suicide but he is unperturbed, he is going from one state to another to narrate lies during the election meetings." Banerjee added: "During election meetings in other states, Modi is taking the name of Mamata because he knows that in Bengal, BJP will not be able to do anything. They will get a big zero."
