Kolkata: Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) has constructed a gate to welcome students who are coming to study in New Town.
For the first time, a gate is constructed to welcome students. A pathway for them has also been constructed.
On the top of the gate, the letter "Ba" has been embossed in Bengali. "Ba" means Biswa or World.
It may be mentioned that over and again Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said in her speeches that a day will come when students from Bengal will be one of the best in the world and also it means Knowledge which is embracing the whole world.
The pathway along with the gate have come up near Aliah University. The students can use the pathway to reach the university. An education hub is coming up at New Town.
Amity University has come up. Calcutta University, Jadavpur University and Rabindra Bharti University will have their second campus in the same area. It is more or less like the North campus in Delhi where a cluster of colleges under the Delhi University are located.
Never before a gate has been built to welcome students who will come to New Town to acquire knowledge.
The gate along the pathway will create a good ambience and at the same time encourage the students to acquire universal knowledge.
