Firhad Hakim appears before CBI

Kolkata: Stating that it is a conspiracy against him, Firhad Hakim, the state Municipal Affairs minister, said: "Everybody who had seen the video footages knows well that I have not taken any money."

He said this after giving statement to officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Narada sting operation.

Hakim went to the office of the CBI at Nizam Palace on Monday. He gave his statement in regard to the sting operation to the CBI officers.

He clearly told the investigating officers that he had not taken any money and he has been framed. It is a conspiracy against him just to defame him as it was quite clear from the video footages that he had not taken any money.

It may be mentioned here that the CBI officers have already taken statements of some of the political leaders, a senior police officer and former CEO of Narada News Mathew Samuel.

The investigating officers are now verifying the statements given by Samuel in this connection.
