Fake doctor arrested

Kolkata: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a fake doctor from Howrah station. The police said that the accused, Dibbendyu Chakraborty, a resident of Dum Dum had been running a clinic in Dum Dum area allegedly without proper certificates. He used to treat patients as a general medicine physician.

The police found out that the accused would come to Howrah station on Thursday. The police arrested the accused when he reached Howrah station and recovered some documents from him. According to the preliminary probe, the police suspect that the accused used to run the clinic without a proper license. The accused failed to provide any substantial documents supporting his claim of being a physician of general medicine. The police also came to know that Chakraborty had been practicing in Dum Dum area. They have booked him under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120 B of the IPC.
