Even before CBI interrogation, Vijaybargiya says TMC MPs, MLAs will be arrested

Even before the CBI started interrogating 12 FIR named Trinamool Congress MPs and MLAs in connection with the Narada case, the BJP national secretary Kailash Vijaybargiya on Monday announced that they would be arrested soon. He was talking to newsmen at Suri in Birbhum this afternoon. He demanded that the tainted ministers should be dropped immediately.

"Half of the ministers of the Mamata Banerjee government will be behind the bars and in the 2021 Assembly election she will not get any chance even to sit in the Opposition," said Vijaybargiya. It may be recalled that before the High Court had ordered CBI inquiry into Narada case, Dilip Ghosh, state BJP president had said that the Court would soon order CBI inquiry into the matter. Meanwhile, Vijaybargiya openly played the communal card and alleged that the Trinamool government is appeasing the Muslims. "The state government is not allowing a procession to celebrate Ram Navami but allowing Muharram rallies. BJP will not tolerate this as it has affected the Fundamental Rights of the people," said Vijaybargiya. Meanwhile, BJP supporters on Monday beat up Trinamool workers in Birbhum and damaged some motorcycles which were parked outside the Ahmedpur party office of Trinamool Congress. Trinamool's Birbhum district president Anubrata Mondol said the party workers were beaten up unprovoked. He alleged that BJP was deliberately trying to create disturbance in the district. Firhad Hakim, state Urban development minister said the people of Birbhum are behind Trinamool Congress. "Many people will come and organise rallies but the people of Birbhum are with Trinamool Congress," he said.
