ER achieves 4.19% growth in passenger revenue

Kolkata: Eastern Railway has achieved remarkable growth in passenger earnings during April to September 2017, recording a growth of 4.19% in passenger revenue which is the highest amongst all zonal railways. In the suburban segment, the growth of passenger traffic has gone up by 2.75% during April to September 2017, which is second best over other zones of Indian Railways. It may be mentioned here that the achievement of passenger traffic is the best ever of last five years and achievement of passenger earnings is the best ever of last four years.
