EOW probes cheating case
New Delhi: The Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police has started investigation in the case of cheating allegedly done by private real estate company. Police said that two directors of the company were named as suspects in the case.
According to police the case was registered on July 1 under sections 406/420/120-B IPC on the complaint of Manu Bali and Girish Rehani. There are allegations of cheating against the company.
"The alleged PIQ is at the Crossing Republic, Ghaziabad and the amount involved in this case is of Rs. three crores," police said.
In another case, EOW is investigating a fraud case where complainant alleged that he was duped on the pretext of a good return on investment.
The complainant told police that he met with the suspect in the seminar. Later the suspect introduces him to another person in Rohini.
The suspect told him about a company who gives a good return on investment.
The complainant said that his wife and some other known persons invested Rs 2,05,30,000.
The suspect in the case told the complainant that return on their investment would be transferred in their account daily but it was irregular and after that, the company even stopped making returns in respect of their investment.
