Eastern Rly announces cancellation of trains

Kolkata: Eastern Railway has announced full and partial cancellation of several trains and diversion of a few due to non-interlocking and maintenance work.

"Tinpahar-Rajmahal-Tinpahar Passenger train will remain cancelled on October 12 and 13, 2019. The train will remain cancelled due to urgent electrification work between Tinpahar and Rajmahal station," said an official of Eastern Railway. Due to track maintenance work between Shaktigarh and Jaugram Station, power and traffic block will be imposed on Down Howrah-Barddhaman chord line between these stations for 240 minutes (20:30 hrs to 00:30 hours) per day in the night of every Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday and Friday/Saturday. In a bid to remodel Tundla station, electronic Interlocking will be conducted in North Central Railway's Allahabad Division. Malda Town-Delhi Farakka Express (via Sultanpur) will short terminate/short originate at Kanpur on October 12 and October 17. Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express (via Sultanpur) will short terminate/short originate at Kanpur on October 14 and October 19.
