Eastern Railway announces 14 Puja special trains

Kolkata: To cope with the expected rush of passengers during the ensuing Puja festival, 14 weekly Puja Special trains (via Dankuni) will be run between Howrah and Ramnagar and 7,616 additional berths will be generated. As a result, a total of 1,14,088 berths and 4,320 seats will be generated out of a total 156 Puja special trains for the travelling public this year.
05008 Howrah-Ramnagar weekly Puja special will leave Howrah station at 08.35 hrs on every Sunday between 24.9.2017 & 5.11.2017 (7 trips) and 05007 Ramnagar-Howrah weekly Puja special will leave Ramnagar on every Friday at 17.55 hrs between 22.9.2017 & 3.11.2017 (7 trips).
The train will have general second class, sleeper class and air-conditioned accommodation.
It may be mentioned that besides above, running of 142 Puja specials have already been declared by this railway this year for different directions between Howrah–Anand Vihar Sealdah and Ajmer, Sealdah an Anand Vihar, Howrah and Raxaul, Kolkata and Chhapra, Asansol and Patna, Malda Town and Haridwar, Kolkata and Lucknow, Howrah and Jammu Tawi, Kolkata and Indore, Kolkata–Haridwar, Sealdah-Puri and Kolkata-Puri with generation of 1,06,472 berths and 4,320 seats for the passengers.
